How does PhoneOverNet work?

What is
PhoneOverNet and how does it work?

PhoneOverNet is digital phone service, that gives you local and long distance calling anywhere in the United States and Canada, for one low price.

We are able to do this because
PhoneOverNet DigitalPhone uses your existing broadband (DSL or cable modem) internet connection instead of a standard phone line.  You save money and have tons of great features like Caller ID, Call Waiting, Find-Me-Follow-Me and Voicemail (features vary depending on the plan you choose).

Why is PhoneOverNet better?

PhoneOverNet gives you great phone service and more:

How does PhoneOverNet work?

You simply connect your current telephone (wired or cordless) to your broadband internet connection using the phone adapter we send you.  Pick up your phone and use it like you do today.  You’ll be making phone calls within minutes of receiving your DigitalPhone phone adapter!

When you pick up your phone, the PhoneOverNet DigitalPhone adapter converts your voice into data, much like a webpage or email, and then sends it through the internet.  The PhoneOverNet network then sends the call where you want, and translates it back into voice.  The person you're calling doesn't have to be a PhoneOverNet DigitalPhone customer to receive your call (but once they hear the quality, we bet they'll want to become one!).  When the person you're calling answers their phone, it sounds the same as any other call (only better quality).  And when someone calls you, they dial your number, your phone rings, and all you do is pick it up and answer it.  The only differences are the lower price, the features, and the superior sound quality.  Why settle for less?  What are you waiting for... sign up today!
